Engineered Systems Manager - Global Supply Chain

The Global Supply Chain (GSC) division is looking for a new member of their global Supply Chain Excellence team to help us develop and grow our network of Engineering Systems capability to enable sales growth. This role will report into our GSC Engineering Manager and work closely with colleagues from across our global teams in EMEA, APAC and the Americas to synchronise, improve and evolve our Engineered Systems Manufacturing processes, development and production for increased performance and stakeholder satisfaction.

Role Purpose:

To provide global functional leadership, coordination & strategic direction to our Engineered System Manufacturing teams and associated colleagues by:

·         Creating network curiosity and courage to embed and sustain new ways of working

·         Enabling our GSC Engineered System colleagues to develop their ideas and engage their contribution

·         Placing safety, quality, business and environmental sustainability at the heart of our Engineered System manufacturing and supply chain

·         Optimising Engineered System manufacturing through planning and best practice production

Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on…

  • Development & implementation of our Global Engineered Systems Manufacturing Strategy.
  • Coaching, supporting & directing Engineered System Engineering colleagues and driving their professional development.
  • Identifying skills and capability gaps and supporting recruitment whilst promoting global development
  • Driving consistency, collaboration, and optimisation across the GSC (Global Supply Chain) engineered system manufacturing network.
  • Supporting NPI and Regionalisation for engineered systems with global supply chain design and manufacturing capability readiness
  • Driving and coordinating global Engineered System manufacturing investment and technology acquisition
  • Developing and governing global engineered system manufacturing processes and associated manufacturing systems
  • Engaging with SBD & Sales companies to enable sales growth through innovation & improved customer experience.
  • Developing & promoting our global engineered system capability

Your previous experience is likely to include….

  • Working within a manufacturing or engineering function
  • Involvement with high value, customised solutions
  • Functional leadership across a matrix organisation
  • Business development or sales
  • Working with steam systems, applications and products
  • Identifying and enabling growth opportunities
