The role will report into the warehouse manager and the role holder will be responsible for the overall management of the pladis import and export process in line with both pladis and HMRC customs requirements

Key accountabilities & deliverables:

  • Import seal checks

  • Driver chaperone

  • Customs declaration/ clearance paperwork checks prior to off loading

  • 5-point container checks prior to off loading

  • Full reconciliation process

  • The management of the imported stock schedule to ensure all relevant paperwork is in place for offloading and the full reconciliation of goods prior to receipt

  • Highlighting and investigating any discrepancies via the inventory team for reconciliation

  • Driving pladis health, safety and quality agenda

  • Ensuring customer service targets are hit

  • Delivering key KPI’s

  • Audit ready for all governing bodies – BRC, HMRC, ISO

  • Management of the heat-treated pallet process and schedule in line with pladis and customs processes including:
    -Loading schedules
    -Pallet management
    -Customs declaration
    -Plants abroad processes and paperwork
    -Load reconciliation and investigation
    -Single point of contact for HMRC customs queries

Essential Criteria

  • Fork truck licence

  • Microsoft office suite

  • SAP experience

  • Export / import experience
