The opportunity we are proposing is to join the Montreal accounting and finance department. 


Responsibilities


As International Financial Analyst, the role will ensure for AMER the regional oversight of Intragroup contract management and Transfer Pricing processes operated offshored.

As such, the role includes the following responsibilities:


As regards to the Intragroup Contract Management Activity:

-    As Product Owner of the Contract Management Tool (CM Tool) for Americas Region, ensure an oversight of IT support activity in India and monitor the tool evolutive maintenance;

-    Ensure the Oversight of the Contract Management activities for Americas Region offshored in Romania and contribute to the periodic governance meetings with all AMER BUs/SUs.


As regards to the Transfer Pricing Activity:

-    Ensure the coordination with the Central Transfer Pricing Team (in Paris and Bangalore), Regional Tax and Finance departments;

-    Be in support of any Transfer Pricing topics for DFIN AMER;

-    Contribute to the continuous improvement of the process for AMER region (in terms of governance, control, automation etc.).


In addition to the regional oversight role, this function will also act as regional facilitator (with the Subject-Matter Experts – Legal, Tax, Finance, TPRM –, the BUs/SUs, and more generally with any stakeholders inside or outside of AMER) and is the first level of escalation in case of blocking situations.

Lastly, this function needs to ensure that the processes/procedures are well documented, controls are in place to mitigate the related risks, and more generally ensure the continuous improvement of the process (in terms of governance, control, automation etc.).


Business Insight

Contract Management activities include:


-    Contracts initiation, amendment and termination of behalf of the BUs/SUs for all intragroup agreements involving SGUS entities (either as service provider or client);

-    Monitoring of CM Tool database and regular controls to ensure its data quality;

-    Periodic governance calls (usually on a quarterly basis) with each BU/SU in the US (14 in total) in order to

o    present a status of their contracts, the ones that are to be reviewed etc;

o    in addition, a reconciliation is done vs the Inter-Entity Recharge (IER) in the GL to (i) identify the contracts without any IER for justification and remediation if needed (ii) identify the IER without any contracts for justification and remediation if needed (activity maintained onshore by DFIN AMER).


Transfer Pricing Activity is centrally managed by:

-    Paris Tax department as Transfer Pricing Global Process Owner, in charge of the Group Global Policy and implementation – SEGL/FIS/TPP;

-    GSC India Finance department as Transfer Pricing Computation Process Owner, in charge of the Computation and Accounting process – DFIN/TPA.


 


Profile Required


Technical Skills:

  • Power Query, Power BI, Alteryx or other data analytics tools a plus
