Our Team

Our corporate team is a central hub for Thales Australia. It’s where our shared services come together to make sure our teams across Australia have access to the business services they need. Cross-functional collaboration helps us build out Thales’ capabilities in a robust way and the Trade Compliance function is key to this.

Your Role

Working from our Melbourne Office in the World Trade Centre on Wurundjeri land, your role as a Graduate Trade Compliance Specialist will see you learn and develop knowledge and skills on the matters of import and export customs compliance, export and broader trade control regimes, namely Australian and U.S. export laws, and on application of economic sanctions and other global trade regulations.

What could your day look like?

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of trade compliance programs

  • Conducting research on export control regulations, customs regulations, and other international trade laws and policies

  • Collaborate with engineering teams and other cross-functional areas to review and classify products for export control classifications and customs tariff codes

  • Support the preparation of import/export documentation

Your Experience

What we value most from our graduates is a willingness to learn and the confidence to offer solutions, however the below will also come in handy

  • Recently degree qualified in Business, International Business, International Relations or other related disciplines

  • A true desire to work in a diverse team towards a common goal

  • A self-starter that knows when to ask for feedback or guidance
