The Role:
This is a spring co-op opportunity in Norwood, MA from January 21st, 2025 – June 20, 2025. Applicants must be available for the entire duration of the internship. Start date will be January 21st, 2025.
Reporting to the Directors, Global Drug Substance and Global Dug Product Supply Chain Planning, Moderna is looking for an Associate Director, Drug Substance Supply Chain Planning Integration Lead. This position will make an immediate impact to our Supply Chain Planning team by ensuring supply chain systems are set up to enable planning, developing a reliable plan and metrics, together with respective planners. As Moderna continues to expand our pipeline, the need to configure new products across planning systems will continuously arise. This is a great opportunity to operate in a highly collaborative role with our partners by providing subject matter expertise, to develop system planning processes, and SAP/APO functionality, with the aim to create, maintain, and deliver production plan for Moderna products.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Use root cause analysis to identify systemic issues and lead resolution of the issues so that target performance levels are consistently achieved.
Support master data parameter assessment and confirmation to enable planning
Contribute to continuous improvement, defining processes, and metrics using lean methodologies
Lead projects or strategic initiatives as needed
Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Pursuing BS/BA in Supply Chain, Science or Economics/Finance or MBA
Experience as a Production Planner within Biotech, Pharma or other related batch production manufacturing environments a plus
1+ years’ experience with SAP MPS and MRP a plus
Working knowledge of site supply chain processes including demand management, S&OP, production planning, capacity planning, material planning and procurement, order fulfilment, master data and life-cycle management.
Competency in Microsoft tools – Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, SharePoint, and Smartsheet
Demonstrated data and analytics skills, experience utilizing AI a plus
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across boundaries (functional and cultural) and form effective working relationships with colleagues.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Customer and business focused – determined to deliver successful outcomes in a cost-effective way.
