Responsibilities






Purpose:

Responsible to assist the General Manager. The Manager should be able to confidently deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives. Must have knowledge and experience in Air Freight Procurement by negotiation with air carriers as corporate level, and Gateway operations and handling.

Essential Duties:

  • Air Carrier negotiation to have the best price and service for our service in corporate level.
  • Airfreight procurement as corporate level and support gateway including satellite branches for local procurement.
  • Leading gateway in NEU to maximize NX air freight consolidation efficiency.
  • Leveraging NEU airfreight buying power by centralizing consolidation.
  • Analysis for NEU air freight procurement.

Technical

  • Regular communication with air freight carriers for better price, service as corporate level
  • Leading global airline RFQ together with NX Holding in Tokyo
  • Trouble shooting by communicating with carriers for all branches in NEU as corporate level.
  • Performance review for air carriers as regular basis
  • Communication with branches and gateway for creating more efficient consolidation.
  • Strengthening air export gateway in NEU
  • Creating KPI report for carrier performance as well as gateway performance
  • Setting initiatives as carrier management team and reporting the progress to VP/GM regularly
  • Getting better and targeted buying rate from air carries on request by branches or sales

Qualifications






Minimum Requirements, Education, and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate or significant or relevant or appropriate working experience. Some college preferred.
  • Approximately over 10 years industry experience
  • Analytical skill (Familiar with logistics concept and planning concept)
  • Working Knowledge of general and Export Computer application technology
  • Knowledge of international commerce (Incoterms, method, customs regulations etc.)
  • Knowledge of Consolidator system
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT), TSA, FAA, State, Federal and Interstate Commerce commission (ICC) regulation desirable
  • Communication skill
