Antitrust Special Counsel - DC

About the Antitrust Section

The Antitrust section is a full-service antitrust group representing clients before federal and state antitrust and consumer protection enforcers and in civil litigation. Our attorneys have deep expertise in multiple industries, including health care, communications, and technology, and our associates are expected to assume substantial responsibility and engage in direct client interaction for their matters.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Special Counsel with at least six years of Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) experience to lead our premerger notification program and to assist in all stages of premerger review, from filing through compliance with second requests. Candidates should be fluent in the rules and informal interpretations, as well as the pending amendments to the filing requirements. Candidates should also be able to make complex filing determinations under the HSR regime. The position will also include general antitrust practice, including directly counseling clients on antitrust matters, research and writing, and assisting with antitrust litigation.

Special Counsels are experienced attorneys with valuable expertise. Billable and other non-billable hours expectations are based on the needs to the section and can vary across the Firm. Special Counsels do not have an expectation of progression to Membership. The Firm will support the training and continuing legal education needed for the attorney in this role.
