The AUKUS Program Representative International Trade Compliance (ITC) for the AUKUS program will administer and manage export and import authorizations in accordance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Corporate policies.
The AUKUS Program Representative ITC primary responsibilities will include the continued development, implementation, execution, and management of AUKUS export and import authorizations for Electric Boat (EB). This position is based out of Groton, Connecticut, and oversees activities at multiple locations in the US, UK and AUS.
As a Program representative ITC for the Program Office, will work with the EB ITAR Empowered Official, EB Security, NAVSEA, the UK Ministry of Defense, Australia Department of Defense and US, UK and AUS Defense Industry. The specific responsibilities of the posted position to include, but are not limited to the following:
- Management and implementation of EB AUKUS Program export compliance policies and procedures at multiple US, UK, AUS locations
- Ensure program policies and procedures are maintained for EB and off-site locations
- Ensure applicable export compliance training requirements are in place for Import/Export (IMEX) Program administration team
- Prepare, administer and manage exemption-based authorizations, Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs), Manufacturing License Agreements (MLAs), and hardware licenses for export of ITAR controlled technical data and defense services, hardware, services and coordination of imports
- Primary interface for EB supply chain, including logistics, information technology (IT) to ensure compliance with international trade regulations and Corporate policies
- Ensure foreign travel and foreign national visitor requests, comply with existing export authorizations, and Corporate policies and procedures, including training, program security and recordkeeping requirements
- Partner with EB legal and internal audit departments to develop the scope for and complete annual ITAR activity reports & and self-assessments. Process owner for the Program Instruction guiding the execution of annual ITAR activity reports and self-assessments
- Partner with the EB Joint International Trade Compliance Team to align Common Missile Compartment Program and Strategic Weapons System International Trade Compliance Programs to provide coverage support and cross training across programs
- Work with subcontractors, vendors, SUPSHIPS, NAVSEA, and Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) as a resource to ensure compliance with International Trade Regulations and Corporate policies/requirements
- Maintain continuous communications with internal team and external customers
This is a high-visibility position with regular interaction with senior leadership. Additionally, ITC personnel will with a variety of internal organizations including engineering, planning, operations, test, purchasing, contracts, finance, and legal.
