General Description

The Contracts and Procurement Specialist will support the management of federal government contracts, helping to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with the company’s operational goals. This position plays a key role in managing the full lifecycle of contracts, from proposal development and negotiation to administration, monitoring, and closeout. The role requires adaptability, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments and resolve issues quickly. In this role you will work with various types of contracts, including Cost Plus, Time and Materials (T&M), and Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP).

How You Will Fulfill Your Mission

  • Review, analyze, and interpret contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with federal regulations and company policies.
  • Support the lifecycle management of contracts, including negotiation, administration, modifications, and closeouts.
  • Assist with preparing proposals and contract documentation for new and existing business opportunities.
  • Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with scope, budget, and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve contractual and regulatory issues efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
  • Maintain contract files and databases, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of contract data
  • Participate in audits and prepare reports for internal stakeholders and external agencies as needed.

Specific Knowledge/Certification Requirement

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with federal government contracts and compliance frameworks, such as FAR/DFAR.
  • Knowledge of Cost Plus, Time and Materials (T&M), and Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contracts
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualification

  • Experience with Costpoint or other procurement systems 
  • Exposure to proposal development and cost estimation.
