Job Title: Coordinator, Global Supply Chain Operations

Department: Global Supply Chain and Logistics

Status: Regular Full-Time, Non-Exempt 

Location: Nashville, Tennessee Gideons International Headquarters

 

Purpose and Scope

The Coordinator, Global Supply Chain Operations will support the operational needs of the department by coordinating Scripture orders and logistics for international countries, coordinating regular communication with members and vendors, and maintaining systems and reports. This role is the primary point of contact for international Scripture orders, ensuring that orders are received, prepared, processed, shipped, and delivered according to schedule. This role requires agility in execution while considering a wide variety of parallel projects at various stages of completion. This role also facilitates ongoing process improvement and optimization initiatives. The coordinator will possess strong communication, solid interpersonal skills, a collaborative nature, and a highly organized approach. The coordinator will also apply technical expertise, attention to detail, high integrity, and cultural agility in support of the needs of the organization. 

 

Essential Job Functions

Assist Operations Manager in administering, processing, verifying, prioritizing, placing, fulfilling, and invoicing of international countries’ Scripture orders and warehouse transfers

Initiate sales orders and other related inventory transactions in NetSuite

Coordinate inter-camp Scripture transfer requests

Initiate and communicate transfer requests between regional warehousing hubs

Maintain and update shipping information databases

Maintain and update order/shipment history databases

Prepare and analyze reports related to Scripture orders

Maintain contact with vendors regarding the status of Scripture shipments and purchase orders

Support international members with communication and documentation regarding pending Scripture shipments, questions, and exceptions

Prepare and submit documentation related to pre-shipment requirements, invoices, and accounts payable

Collaborate with the Inventory Analyst, International Countries Division, and National Associations Division as needed related to Scripture orders, goals, and projections

Collaborate with the Inventory Analyst to provide visibility of orders, trends, projections, and available inventory

Analyze current practices to determine efficiency and recommend improvements

Assist in primary duties in the absence of Operations Manager, Global Supply Chain & Logistics (GSC&L)

Assist Manager, Supply Chain Operations and Services to compile, monitor, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Assist Manager, Supply Chain Operations and Services in tracking International Country Scripture inventory and evaluating storage and delivery solutions

Assist International Headquarters with clarity, communication, and strategy related to sensitive countries

 

Other Essential Functions

Assist in the development and updates of standard operating procedures for GSC&L

Manage outgoing correspondence – email, post, phone, etc.

Manage the organization, storage, and retrieval of data/information in conjunction with the Information Technology team

Respond to phone calls and email requests for Scriptures and other inquiries according to policy 

Participate in departmental team meetings

Participate in daily morning staff devotions; on a rotating basis serve by praying and reading Scripture in support of devotion leader.

Reports To: Manager, Supply Chain Operations and Services 

People Management Responsibility: None

Works Closely With: (Internally) Global Supply Chain and Logistics, International Countries Division and Headquarters staff. (Externally) key dignitaries – Gideon and non-Gideon, International Cabinet

Ability to use PC and widely used software applications, including Microsoft Office applications and NetSuite

Ability to learn new software applications as necessary

Work Environment and Time Requirements

Climate-controlled office environment

8-hour workday

Hybrid work model 

Variations in work volume sometimes require extended working hours

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

3-5 years of relevant experience 

PC experience, especially in Microsoft Office applications

Successful completion of a drug and background screen

 

Preferred Qualifications

Customer service/relations, ideally related to inventory management 

Experience with NetSuite preferred, but not required
