Position Summary 

 

The Entry Writer is responsible for writing entries and processing PAPS releases

 

Key Responsibilities (Supervisory/Materials/Information)


  • Receives and reviews client shipment information and prepares required documentation. Classification and submission to the US Customs and Border Protection

  • Handling calls and questions from clients and / or drivers

  • Ensuring timely upload of all entries for release or inbound

  • Data upload of electronic manifest data and FDA prior notification and Oasis data

  • Performing a variety of general office duties as assigned

  • Accept duties as assigned


 

Education and Experience


  • High School graduate or related work experience

  • 1-3 years general brokerage experience


 

Competencies, Working Skills & Attributes


  • Understanding of Harmonized tariff and product classification

  • Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Able to meet deadlines, prioritize responsibilities and multi-task

  • Experience with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel

  • Experience with office equipment, fax and photo copier

  • Above average data entry skills

  • Familiar with all Company policies and procedures

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while entering data
