Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work alongside the Customs Brokerage Manger on any and all new brokerage business through the first Quality Business Review. Tasks include (but not limited to): Brokerage task lists, parts database set up and maintenance, efficiency tool (Raft) set up, expo customs profiles, etc.
  • Receive and introduce new operation systems or processes to our Brokerage operation in our pursuit of relentless efficiency and protect Best-in-Class operation – and provide meaningful feedback
  • Facilitate training on deployed and enhanced applications, through both teaching and mentoring
  • Understand how to improve metrics based on operational processes
  • Assist with PSCs, payment of daily statement, bond renewals and other compliance duties as assigned
  • Ensure accurate and timely client billing
  • Understand all the elements of the import Desk Level Operating Procedure and correctly interpret this information to fulfill our customer´s instructions and expectations.
  • Transfer customs declaration information from documents, or other sources into the customs entry system to allow for the build of a valid customs declaration
  • Assist with verification of customs declaration information and the submission of such to the customs authority

Qualifications

  • Expeditors Product and Service knowledge
  • Transition & Implementation knowledge
  • Understanding of Process Fundamentals
  • Strong PC and analytical skills, including experience with Microsoft Office
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with ability to relate to employees at all levels
  • Customer Broker License Preferred
