The Team

The Global Logistics Excellence function defines for the end-to-end Logistics network, from Inbound transport to Consumer/Customer/Store drops, how “good” should look like today and tomorrow. It supports the delivery of the multi-year Logistics ambition on cost, customer service and carbon emission reduction (3C Concept), that ties into the PVH+ Plan.

The Logistics ambition is captured in the Logistics+ Masterplan, under which the team designs and drives strategic initiatives, programs and processes. One key vertical to enable the Logistics Operation to perform at the highest & most competitive standard is centered on building out a Logistics eco system to bring in the best from the outside, lifting the Logistics capabilities of PVH.

The Position

In this role you will be working across multiple levels and regions with the Supply Chain teams as well as partnering functions within PVH to establish and to prioritize the company’s needs for Logistics capabilities. Based on the agreed needs, your responsibility will be to identify leading specialized, external providers and to source the capabilities needed in a fit-for-purpose fashion.

This is a new position recognizing the strategic importance of driving a cohesive and integrated Logistics agenda and the need to underpin the Logistics+ Plan with critical capabilities to support the delivery of the PVH+ Plan, whilst transforming the Logistics network.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB 

Lead the Logistics Eco System Vertical of the Logistics+ Plan

  • Responsible for the successful delivery of all projects and initiatives that sit under the Logistics Eco System vertical of the Logistics+ Plan, including: i) Creating a network design centre, ii) Establishing a preferred partner program, iii) Driving internal & external benchmarking, iv) Developing a warehouse investment strategy and v) Compiling a Logistics Resilience Strategy

Network Design Centre

  • Outline the centre’s role and responsibility, work with the regions to establish new ways of working to dock the centre into the regional organizations
  • Collaborate with Procurement to screen and select an external, industry-leading design partner to deliver network design as a service to PVH Logistics
  • Lead the creation of a current network blueprint by the centre as base for future optimization and pre-define relevant design scenarios
  • Embed leading network design tools into the centre’s setup
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop a multi-year plan to run network design studies

Preferred Partner Program

  • Design a Preferred Partner Program for PVH Logistics to bring the best from the outside in and to get access to industry-leading practices
  • Determine new ways of working with Procurement, develop partner selection criteria and identify relevant external parties to connect with
  • Establish global relationships with preferred partners, line up a Logistics innovation funnel to support the ambitions of PVH Logistics
  • Implement digital collaborations platforms for agile ways of working with preferred partners

Internal & External Benchmarking

  • Engage with internal stakeholders to identify benchmarking needs and objectives to scope the approach to Logistics benchmarking, including check points and format
  • Find and engage an external benchmark partner to compare PVH Logistics vs peers, design and conduct and internal Logistics maturity assessment
  • Analyze the findings from the external benchmark as well as the internal assessment to unearth gaps and opportunities to improve and compile an action plan
  • Communicate findings across the organization and lead for consensus into action plans

Warehouse Investment Strategy

  • Based on the company’s growth plans, segment markets through relevant criteria to differentiate warehouse investments
  • Evaluate ROI of existing investments through structured post go-live assessments
  • Assess current warehouse footprint, identify financial rebalancing needs, overlay Logistics Capex Plan with WH Investment Strategy and inform MAKE vs BUY views
  • Collaborate with Real Estate and Procurement to free up cash from non-strategic investments

Logistics Resilience Strategy

  • Map current exposure of PVH Logistics to potential external risk factors, segment risk in line with adequate criteria
  • Create layered mitigation and back up plans for key risk factors, balancing cost to mitigate with cost of risk realization
  • Embed relevant industry partners and external third parties into the Logistics Resilience Strategy

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct: One associate to report directly into the role: The Digital Logistics Manager

Indirect: Ongoing project team responsibilities under the umbrella of the Logistics+ Plan and the Logistics eco system vertical. The size of the project teams will vary from 10 to 50 associates with multiple projects to be led in parallel.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Consulting spend across multiple projects

DECISION MAKING 

  • Balance conflicting Logistics priorities under the 3C concept to drive the initiatives and projects sitting in the Logistics Eco System vertical
  • Lead diverse projects teams through iterative decision-making processes to establish global standards and land these in the regions
  • Constantly balance regional needs with harmonized global standards

RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY 

The ideal candidate must be able to:

  • Drive the Logistics+ Plan and the Logistics Eco System vertical through a lean, global team, leaning on co-creation with the regions and external parties
  • Bring outside perspective to define the future evolution for the Logistics Operation at PVH
  • Create strategic, transformative Logistics capabilities from scratch
  • Lead multiple projects with overlapping project timelines in parallel
  • Find creative ways to engage different levels of the organization to create buy-in for the Logistics+ Plan and Logistics Eco System vertical
  • Build out plug-and-play interfaces between PVH’s Logistics organization and external capability partners

ENVIRONMENT

PVH Corp. is currently going through significant business transformation on all levels of the organization, including Supply Chain and Logistics. This role is expected to operate and to deliver in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environment, where current responsibilities are often unclear. Many aspects of the Logistics+ Plan and the request to drive value through end-to-end integration are new introductions to the organization. This must be reflected in the approach towards the teams we work with. The scope of the role is global, thus requiring the ability to successfully engage and motivate remote and diverse teams using digital meeting technologies, e.g. Microsoft Teams, whilst the role will require travel for ca. 10% of the time.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Experience  

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in Supply Chain Logistics
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large improvement projects for impact
  • Ability to leverage outside-in perspectives for incremental value creation
  • Experience in leading multi-national project teams in a global context
  • Track record of successfully designing and implementing new process designs
  • Prior consulting experience is a plus

Education

  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Finance

Skills

Pay Range:$160,000 - $185,000

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
