Executive Office
The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs' corporate strategy, and in preserving the firm's distinctive culture. We are responsible for safeguarding the firm's relationship with alumni, clients, shareholders, policy makers, and the broader public, while ensuring that our own people remain informed about the firm's evolving priorities. We also partner with the businesses to source high-impact opportunities in line with the firm's social and sustainability agendas.
Global Marketing
Led by the firm’s first Chief Marketing Officer, the Global Marketing function at Goldman Sachs is a unified horizontal organization, having come together to codify a business-critical function seen as core to delivering value and growth for the firm. The organization consists of a number of core COEs (sitting centrally in the Executive Office) in areas such as Brand Marketing and Content, as well as integrated marketing groups sitting in each of our key revenue businesses. Together, this team collaborates on a scaled and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. Our mission is to be a demonstrable force multiplier for the businesses we serve, focused on protecting the firm’s reputation while adding value as an incremental distribution channel for commercial priorities.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
As part of the Corporate Brand Team within the Executive Office, the Search Marketing Associate will be responsible for building and evolving a firmwide approach to Search Engine Marketing. This individual will have a performance marketing mindset, be laser focused on analytics and optimization, and must be able to execute and communicate end-to-end strategy, results, and actionable learnings to a wide-range of stakeholders within the Executive Office and across Global Marketing.
This role will be critical in evolving the firm’s performance media strategy and how Global Marketing deploys and optimizes the channel. Deep expertise in performance/growth marketing, digital, 3rd party tagging, and conversion rate optimization will be critical. This individual will have deep platform expertise within Google, Bing, along with digital analytics platforms (e.g. GA360, Adobe), bidding strategies, measurement techniques (e.g. a/b testing, ad copy optimization, multi-touch attribution, etc.)
The Search Marketing Associate will also support Global Marketing by staying current on industry trends (e.g. AI, cookie deprecation, etc.), developing annual learning agendas and support overall thought-leadership.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Work with paid search colleagues in our revenue marketing teams and with our paid media agency to develop and execute campaigns, from planning, development, legal & compliance, execution, optimization and reporting.
- Work directly with business teams on initial campaign planning as well as weekly performance reviews
- Conduct keyword research and analysis, copy development, bid strategy, optimization, and budget allocation.
- Review campaign performance on daily, weekly, and monthly basis; develop reporting dashboards and conduct deep dive analysis as needed
- Develop and own testing plan for new learnings and improve campaign performance
- Work collaboratively with broader marketing, business / product, analytics, legal & compliance, and tech teams.
- Manage projects to enhance the organization’s marketing tech stack (as needed)
- Help manage the relationship with our paid search agency, collaborating with them to execute on initiatives aimed at driving growth.
Basic Requirements:
- 3-5 years of marketing and hands on keys paid search experience.
- Experienced in paid search keyword research, building out ad copy, account structure, bid strategy, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
- Comfortable communicating channel performance to business leadership.
- Working experience with Google Marketing Platform (CM, SA360, DV360, GA360, Google Ads)
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, VBA, etc.), and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Tableau or any data visualization reporting tools is a plus.
- Experience managing vendors.
- Bachelor's Degree required.

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
