Job Title: Export Compliance Specialist

Reports to: Export Compliance Manager

Purpose of the Job:
The position is responsible for assisting with shipments crossing international borders. The primary responsibility is to ensure that the export shipments adhere to customs regulations, including preparing logistics documents associated with exporting of goods. Daily communication with internal and external contacts including project managers, project assistant, distribution services, small parcel couriers, and freight forwarders to support the on-time arrival of international shipments.
Job Functions and Performance Standards:
- Responsible for processing/reviewing international documents for export.
- Capable of counseling clients and internal staff on matters of global logistics, custom clearance and export regulations. *
- Daily communication with project managers, project assistants, distribution department, couriers and freight forwarders regarding export shipment issues.
- Use of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Solomon, Imperial Marketplace, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, various Small Parcel Couriers Software in daily activities. *
- Providing Pre-Approval Notification for informal & formal clearance exports.
- Tracking and managing of exports to ensure door to door service.
- Learn and follow global logistics and compliance of Schedule B / HTS Codes and INCOTERMS 2020.

Education:
- Associated Degree or equivalent experience
Licenses/Certifications:
Experience:
- 2-4 years’ experience in a logistics type role

- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and communications.

- Excellent organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Excellent follow up skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
