ABOUT THE ROLE


The Export Sales Specialist will primarily focus on Sub Distribution accounts throughout the Caribbean and Mexico. Forge strategic distribution partnerships interacting with customer leadership teams, buyers, corporate chefs, category managers, and other decision makers to drive channel growth. This position is a quota carrying sales position reporting directly to the Senior Corporate Account Manager.  The Export Specialist will be primarily responsible for achieving established growth targets of a defined portfolio by growing existing customer accounts and through new customer acquisition in the Export channel.


The AUI Fine Foods Sales Team is dedicated to working across multiple business segments, local, regional, and nationally positioned end users, and industrial customers to maintain current business while driving growth through collaboration focused on solutions, ideas, and products. The ideal candidate must possess strong sales and leadership skills and have the ability and confidence to interact with both internal and external executive-level leadership teams.  They should exhibit critical thinking skills that can help develop meaningful solutions for our customers and have a general manager mindset to drive the overall growth of the region. Additionally, you will work with a dynamic team dedicated to providing the highest quality of products while developing meaningful and strategic partnerships with our valued customers. 


This is a Sales role working on the Corporate Account Management team at AUI.


Location: This position is based in South Florida. This Export Specialist will commute to the Caribbean & Mexico.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Direct account management of existing export customers

  • New customer acquisition in the export channel

  • Management of existing and new programs for customers (e.g. rebates, pricing, sampling) with the sole purpose of strengthening the overall partnership

  • Facilitate quarterly/mid-year/annual business review processes with current customers ensuring consistent contact, follow-up on new business opportunities

  • Drive business development activities of products with end-users through education, building relationships and traditional selling efforts

  • Support and promote the AUI Fine Foods brand through education, problem solving, targeted sampling, and end-user engagement

  • Document in CRM activity around the customer for ongoing reference, performance management, and future internal growth

  • Participate in various international trade shows where appropriate

  • Monthly and quarterly performance reporting

  • Participate in demand planning to include annual and quarterly forecasting


 


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS




  • 3+ years of experience in the food industry; in particular, hospitality or foodservice

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with experience using a CRM program

  • Strong communication and presentation skill

  • Ability to travel up to 40% required


Preferred



  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Culinary Arts Degree preferred

  • Previous international business development experience

  • 2+ years of sales experience

  • Export/Broker food industry experience


 


SALARY RANGE


AUI Fine Foods hires exceptional people to perform a wide variety of important functions that contribute to the success of the Company. One of the ways AUI Fine Foods does that is through a competitive compensation package. The base salary range for this position is between $75,000 to $85,000.


This role is bonus eligible.


Based on your qualifications, previous experience, and transferrable skills, the Company will determine at its sole discretion the salary offered.
