Job Title: Finance Director, Global Supply Chain Sourcing

The Impact You Will Make in this Role:
As a Finance Director, Global Supply Chain Sourcing, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here you will make an impact by:
•    Providing strategic and operational financial leadership to the Global Supply Chain Sourcing Leaders to drive sourcing operational performance, including setting direction on operational metrics.
•    Being a strong business partner in setting direction on Purchasing and Spending for Global Sourcing (plant, area, supply chain, business, planning, logistics) in conjunction with and to support the needs of the Global Supply Chain operations.
•    Developing and driving end-to-end (E2E) processes, analyses, and tools to standardize reporting to support Global Supply Chain Sourcing execution, tracking and mitigation plans.
•    Building and enhancing market intelligence to communicate and drive understanding of external sourcing market dynamics and expected impact on internal operations.
•    Increasing visibility/analysis of the sourcing spend drivers with active participation in the operating rhythm and collaboration with functional and business teams to ensure alignment and understanding.
•    Developing understanding of impacts to sourcing spend driven by sales volume, demand planning and supply planning dynamics.
•    Actively driving cost savings for sourcing category by identifying/analyzing options, validating cost savings and supporting execution.
•    Ensuring weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of global category spend and drivers including volume, purchasing categories, and translating sourcing savings to financial statement impact.
•    Building the needed capabilities to forecast sourcing spend.
•    Leading weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual processes to support weekly rhythms/updates, month end close activities, QORs/MREs, Annual Operating Plans and Strat Plans. 
•    Standardizing & automating sourcing spend reporting and financial statement impacts.
•    Supporting Source to Pay business transformation for ERP deployments.
•    Ensuring compliance to financial standards related to sourcing.

Provides financial advice and counsel for decision-making, operational/strategic planning, and asset and profit management. Implements standards and defines guidelines for financial operations and financial measurement for assigned business area(s). Plans, organizes, and directs all financial activities and policies, including the management of one or more functional disciplines within Finance such as controlling, accounting, taxation, credit, audit, treasury, etc. Works with and provides counsel to market center business development directors, div VPs, and exec VPs on the evaluation and prioritization of business alliance opportunities. Leads medium ($10-$25 million) to large (> $25 million) complex projects related to acquisitions, divestitures, and other business alliance ventures in designated market center.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher and Fifteen (15) years of experience working in finance organizations with key understanding of business unit and commercial processes and reporting in a private, public, government or military environment.

  • Five (5) years of experience of financial modeling and in a Sourcing Support Role for global organizations

  • Five (5) years of finance experience within a Manufacturing industry

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • CPA, CMA or equivalent international certification

  • Experience in the MedTech Industry

  • Responsible for Income Statements

  • Five (5) years of finance experience within a healthcare industry

  • Leadership and collaboration skills to engage with business stakeholders and drive alignment on financial assumptions

  • Ability to lead through others and influence

  • Pragmatic, results-oriented with a strong bias towards executing with speed, agility, and quality

  • Experience in a global business setting and understanding of operational and cultural differences due to geography, size, and scope of the organization

  • Five (5) years of leadership experience managing senior level teams

  • Record of career progression with increasing levels of responsibility

Work location:

  • Preference onsite in St. Paul, MN or Remote

  • Travel: May include up to 15%

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $222,044 - $271,387, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
