Position Description:
The incumbent will have 8-10 years of global sales, marketing and business development experience in professional services selling to mid-size to large corporate clients. Candidate will be able to work in a complex, fast paced service business and possess excellent communication, negotiation and consultative skills. Specifically the candidate will be charged with creating a global sales strategy implementable across a highly matrixed organizational structure similar to an association type organization. The position requires astute organizational skills, strong project management ability, results orientation, and a desire to win in a competitive sales environment. This role will be a collaborative sales strategy role with less emphasis on personal production. Sales management experience will be highly valued.
The position reports to the CEO with a strong working relationship with the Head of Marketing, the Board of Managers and an Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee is comprised of a representative number of larger market partners whose principles will help to coordinate and collaborate on large company targets with enterprise wide sales impact.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Working with Marketing on RFP and RFQ’s templates and responses, creation of collateral materials, support of marketing’s PR strategy and creating a selling and value proposition.
- Work with partner offices across the globe to identify viable and winnable sales opportunities, improving organization’s selling and close success.
- Analyze past losses and wins to construct a profile of targets and strategies; develop the organization’s sales strategy for all lines of business
- Represent the organization as a single entity and be able to articulate the organization’s value to global clients
- Develop a sales process to include target and penetration strategies, measurements of success, manageable pricing and margins, training, mentoring and coaching, etc.
- Develop sales territory protocols and management
- Assist partner offices in hiring appropriate regional sales personnel
