Summary


As part of the Sequel Business Unit's Global Brand Marketing team, this newly created and dynamic role will support both Guess Watches and Gc Watches. Acting as a key global coordinator, you will work across the organization—both internally and externally—collaborating closely with Guess?, Inc. (licensor), marketing activation teams, commercial sales, and distributor partners. Your efforts will drive long-term sustainable revenue and brand growth across partner markets and owned retail channels. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating brand sell-in and sell-thru while ensuring licensor operational compliance through effective communication, reporting, and flawless execution.


We’re looking for a global team member who is organized and detail-oriented, and wants to learn, experiment, and innovate to come up with the best ideas to move our brands to the next level.  The Global Marketing Coordinator, SBU has a passion for fashion, loves to work in a fast-paced environment and is an agile team player.


The role focuses on marketing operations and supports brand marketing and marketing activation efforts for global licensee brands.  Your role will also have the unique opportunity to work closely with licensee global brand marketing, licensor management teams, global activation and commercial sales as part of the seasonal activation go to market execution process.  You will work collaboratively with other departments, teams, and brands to execute licensee marketing concepts and activate marketing plans that engage, excite, and convert a consumer interest into a purchase. This position is based in our corporate HQ office, Shelton CT. 

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:


Marketing Activation, Planning, and GTM Deliverables:



  • Support the regional marketing activation effort for Guess and Gc watch brands

  • Act as the brand contact to select distributor partners, working with them to bring marketing strategies to life for best-in-class omni-channel experiences driving traffic in-store and online.

  • Work closely with Licensee Global Brand Marketing teams to understand seasonal marketing campai.gn strategies to execute regionally.

  • Help build and manage the seasonal marketing plan, inclusive of:

    • Regional marketing calendar creation and post campaign ROI analysis.

    • Approve select in season advertising assets, ensure that the align with brand creative guidelines.



  • Manage select seasonal go to market execution process. Communicate to markets and ensure that all sell-in and sell through materials are received, disseminated, and adhered to (in-store and online). Ensure regular follow up with select partners to ensure they are using the assets optimally and per brand guidelines.

  • Support budgeting process by tracking marketing and partner expenses, working with team to oversee and optimize spend.


Licensor Compliance:



  • Review, approve all partner submitted ad budgets and media plans.

  • Collect, review, submit all plans, budgets and back-up based on required timelines and contractual ad spend obligations.

  • Establish quarterly check-in with licensor compliance team to ensure on track and eliminate discrepancies.

  • Provide partners with clear ad approval submission process, forms, to streamline collection and maximize efficiency.

  • Review all partner ad submissions and authorize artwork based on brand guidelines. Submit ads to licensor and provide approval or correction feedback to partners.

  • Collect and organize impactful presentation of approved global marketing executions (In Store, Events, Print, OOH, Digital, and Social). 


Asset Toolbox Development and Market Execution:



  • Contribute with learnings from regional markets on asset use/success/challenges.

  • Share specific need requests from markets for upcoming season (special holidays, retail moments, collabs, etc.)

  • Contribute to the development of global activation programs – sell-in, sell-thru.

  • Contribute to seasonal brand toolkit development focused on market deliverables and modernization.

  • Consolidate regional marketing feedback on tool kit. Contribute with new ideas for tool kit enhancement.

  • Understand and react to market specific needs and custom activation plans. Advocate for special campaign needs for countries with restrictions and retail-owned tagging needs.

  • Contribute to monthly/quarterly brand check-ins.     

  • Share ongoing competitive research and discussions with distributors on current and future trends in activations and best practices. Communicate findings back to the Licensee Global Marketing teams.


 


Required:



  • Bachelors Degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant marketing experience (can be co-op, internships)

  • Detail oriented and organized with strong planning, organizational and implementation skills.

  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills.

  • Ability multitask and manage ambiguity.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage a diverse set of stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated success working in matrixed organizations and agile groups.

  • Knowledge of the watch industry, jewelry, or fashion retail landscape preferred.

  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
