We are seeking enthusiastic interns for the Shiseido Hajimari Summer Internship program, a paid, full-time, 9-week experience from June 2nd to August 1st. Based in our New Jersey and New York offices, this program offers hands-on exposure to the full product life-cycle, from Marketing to Manufacturing, along with impactful projects, networking opportunities, and professional development workshops. About our NARS International Team:


NARS is available in over 46 countries worldwide and the International team is responsible for liaising with the Global Brand Holder team on behalf of all markets except the US.


The International Marketing Intern will support the international team in working with the Asia, EMEA and Americas regions, specifically focus on supporting Asia, China and Travel Retail markets, to influence the brand’s strategy in all markets and provide support to the markets for all brand activities. The Intern will help ensure that markets have what they need to drive the business with strong 360˚ marketing activations.


 


What You’ll Do:


Analysis



  • Collate and share launch recaps for key competitive launches and social media activities, present to relevant stakeholders

  • Inform the product portfolio strategy by consolidating feedback on proposed launches, product discontinuations and sampling programs

  • Monitor competitive activity globally and regularly share findings with the wider team, especially related to competitors’ discounting strategies in the prestige category

  • Assist in the collation on monthly retail reports across all regions and consolidate for senior review.


Visual Merchandising



  • Assist managers with ensuring VM related asset requests (ie. visual, copy, etc.) are submitted and approved in a timely manner

  • Ensure that VM assets (ie. unit artworks, visuals and copy documents, etc) are shared and available on shared platforms


Product Development



  • Work with Global Marketing/Product Development/Operations on any region-specific launches or sets across regions

  • Track hand sample receiving progress based on bulletin releasing time


Communication



  • Participate in Regional calls, distribute action points and notes following each call


Support



  • Help manage and upkeep forecasting guidance file

  • Distribute formula samples, shade swatches and forecasting guidelines to markets and garner essential feedback

  • Own product registration mailings to markets that require this process


 


Requirements:



  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior in college working towards a bachelor’s degree  

  • Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and highly organized 

  • Energetic, self-motivated, results oriented 

  • Flexible and able to function in a fast-paced, safety-first work environment 

  • Have a passion for cosmetics, the beauty industry and keeping up-to-date with industry trends
