Department Title: Intern – Human Resources: Global Policy and Risk
Location: This position is based in our Short Hills, New Jersey office and will be on a hybrid basis. The candidate must be able to come into the Short Hills office weekly.
Start Date: We are looking for a candidate who can join part-time (up to 20 hours per week) starting January 2025.
Position Summary & Department Overview:
The Global Policy and Risk Team is a dynamic and innovative group dedicated to providing guidance on the operational and compliance-related aspects of managing talent. This team plays a crucial role in shaping the future of our workforce by advising our business leaders and executing on relevant, data-driven, and experience-designed workforce solutions which contribute to positive employee experiences.
The Global Policy and Risk Team is responsible for managing risk related to human capital by advising on evolving laws and practices in the U.S. and serving as a global hub for policy and procedure.
Through our internship program, we offer hands-on experience in a supportive environment, allowing interns to contribute meaningfully to our projects while gaining invaluable insights into our industry.

The Global Policy and Risk Team works closely with various departments across the organization to ensure alignment with our overall business goals, while complying with regulatory and industry specific requirements. Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Supports the execution of special projects within Global Policy and Risk, with a specific focus on regulatory developments and compliance.
- Assists with research of pending employment related federal, state, and local legislation that is applicable to the Company.
- Assists with the development or updates to both HR and company guidelines, processes, or programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Undergraduate rising college junior or senior (graduating in 2025 or 2026)
- Current Law student, with an interest in Employment Law.
- A passionate, creative, innovative self-starter
- Working towards a degree in Law, Human Resources, Psychology, Business, etc.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Effective listening and critical thinking skills
- Dependable, flexible and ability to maintain confidential information
- Effective problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Compensation Range: This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 38 hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $30 USD per hour, depending on location. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
