Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Adjunct Faculty member is teaching. We are seeking adjunct instructors for the following course at Keck Graduate Institute (KGI):

BUS 6310 International Business (Fall, 1.5 credit hours)

Course Description

This course will expose students to global marketplace issues within the life sciences. Students will be equipped with conceptual frameworks such as CAGE and AAA to effectively understand international strategy issues within different regions of the world, including advanced economies in Europe and rapidly emerging marketplaces such as China and India.

The successful candidate must share in the mission of KGI and the Riggs School of Applied Life Sciences Programs. The Adjunct Faculty member reports directly to the Associate Dean of Faculty and works collaboratively with the Program Directors and other faculty.

Located in beautiful Claremont, California, Keck Graduate Institute is a member of the prestigious Claremont Colleges, a consortium of five undergraduate liberal arts colleges, two graduate institutions, and The Claremont Colleges Services, which provide shared institutional support services. Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in a related field. A doctoral degree is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Prior experience in teaching for active learning preferred.
  • Experience with the Canvas learning management system is a plus.

Ability to hear within normal parameters. Ability to bend and stoop (e.g., to file). Ability to move about. Ability to lift and carry short distances up to 20 lbs. (e.g., to lift or move office supplies, files, books, and packages).
