Job Summary

As an International Sales & Account Manager at Better Being Co., you’ll work to grow new distributor accounts, while also supporting the growth of your existing international accounts. In your role, you’ll create comprehensive business strategies to develop international markets, launch new brands, build brand equity, and drive sales volume. This role will allow you to immerse yourself in all aspects of the business while working cross-functionally to ensure success with all assigned accounts. You’ll gain exposure to distribution, project management, marketing, regulatory affairs, and many other departments throughout Better Being Co.

Essential Functions

  • Develop comprehensive business strategies to develop international markets, launch new brands, build brand equity, and drive sales volume.

  • Implement improved sales processes to maximize profitability and minimize controllable expenses.

  • Evaluate sales performance and take appropriate actions to support sales growth.

  • Conduct daily B2B communication and provide world-class account management to our distributors.

  • Coordination of cross-functional communication pertaining to various account management tasks.

  • Direct international product development for specified accounts.

  • Stay current with international, cultural, and legal issues pertaining to sales.

  • Seek, evaluate, and recommend new business opportunities.

  • Build strong and effective partnerships with internal and external partners.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Occasional International travel required.

  • Collaborate with other departments.

  • Work with third party service providers such as co-packaging and raw material vendors, freight companies, financial institutions, and other export related bureaus.

  • Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-4 years international business experience or master’s degree with an international business emphasis, preferably in VMS or health and wellness category.

  • 1-2 years international wholesale distributor account management experience, preferably in VMS or health and wellness category.

  • Must be able to work comfortably in a multi-task environment.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Deal with and solve practical problems and work with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations, technical procedures, general business periodicals, and professional journals. 

  • Prepare documentation; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 

  • Present information and respond to questions from government health agencies, customers, Territory Managers, and the public.

  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Interpret ingredient weights on labels.

  • Business language fluency or working ability in a second language – preferably Spanish, French, Danish, Arabic, Romanian, Korean, Japanese, is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear.

  • Employees must exert up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
