This role is a player/coach leadership role. Responsibilities include prospecting and building new business opportunities while also managing a team of Sales Representatives. This role is with a leading Freight Forwarding company and they are looking for a strong Logistics Sales professional to make an impact and help them grow!
Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with new and existing clients
- Identify client Logistics needs and educate on service offerings that are beneficial
- Manage client records and notes in the system
- Communicate closely with internal and external teams
- Manage a team of Sales Representatives
- Assist with problem resolution and escalations as needed
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Freight Forwarding
- 3+ years of International Freight Sales experience including Air, Ocean, Import, Export, Domestic, Customs, and/or Warehousing
- Strong leadership skills
- Expert at building a pipeline of new business, building relationships, negotiating, and maintaining excellent customer service
- Cargowise experience is a plus, but not required
