What You’ll Do:
This is a Full-Time Salary Position
The Sr. Market Manager - International (“MM”) is responsible for driving retail sales, managing business performance across a region of markets. Specifically, this involves supporting partners to grow retail sales; enhancing the customer experience, driving wholesale, focusing on GNC brand; and maximizing the financial performance (EBIT) for his/her region. The Sr. MM is responsible for managing the relationship with our international partners and ensures that communication is managed effectively with franchised partners, as well as with internal cross functional team members (e.g. Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Science, PD, etc.).
- Driving and executing GNC’s strategies to grow retail and wholesale sales, including, but not limited to, channel expansion (e.g. stores, distribution, e-commerce, etc.), new GNC product launches and enhanced customer experience.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the relationship with multiple franchise partners and serves as the central point of contact.
- Managing communications, projects, and tasks – both internally and externally. Ensuring alignment and adherence to agreed timelines and plans from partners and cross functional stakeholders.
- Facilitates monthly calls, regular business reviews and market visits, including competitive analysis, store evaluation, merchandising, marketing, promotional planning, train the trainer, and development of long-range plans. Additionally, responsible for completion and dissemination of market documentation in accordance with GNC’s SOPs.
- Conducts monthly business reviews, focusing on results and opportunities.
- Reviews results regarding KPIs and targets and suggest corrective actions or areas for expansion.
- Ensures franchise partners are adhering to GNC’s operating practices and procedures in their respective markets while maintaining a consistent and superior customer experience.
- Provides support and guidance to franchise partners in respect to market development. Additionally, is responsible for ensuring that store openings, closings, and relocations are processed in accordance with GNC’s SOPs.
- Provides training to partner on tools, systems and processes. Facilitates training to partner’s field organization.
- Ensures proper documentation is maintained, including maintenance of various legal agreements.
- Ensures compliance with all company standards, franchise model, and brand standards.
- Ensures all franchise support departments deliver services and resources to international franchise partners in an appropriate and timely fashion.
- Projects and practices consistent ownership attributes which provide a high level of customer service at all points of contact.
- Shares best practices from region, in order to support growth in other markets.
- Additional duties as assigned
Environmental Factors & Working Schedule:
- Remote work with high degree of travel, minimum of 75% of time dedicated to international travel.
- Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
- Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include long periods of computer screen usage, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- The noise level in the work environment is usually low/moderate
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
- 7+ years progressive International experience required
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish.
- Previous experience working in franchised system (franchisee or franchisor)
- Experience managing and developing teams preferred
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
- Ability to travel for an extended period to various markets
