About this role
We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable International Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team in North America. This pivotal role will ensure that Kidde Global Solutions (KGS) adheres to all international trade regulations and achieves compliance excellence in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Join our team to oversee the International Trade Compliance (ITC) requirements for Kidde Global Solutions. You'll work closely with various functional teams to ensure we meet and maintain our international trade compliance standards. This role reports to an ITC Manager in our Legal department, where your contributions will make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate import clearances, liaising with international counterparts, third-party providers, and brokers
USMCA and other duty preference programs such as CAFTA, AUFTA, DR-CAFTA, and others utilized in global trade objectives.
Perform ongoing entry audits and report out of audit findings
Provide training to stakeholders in the organization on various ITC topics
Requirements under U.S. CBP Programs such as CTPAT, and ISA
Duty recovery initiatives such as drawback and FTA Reconciliation, as well as Value Reconciliation
Management of Customs Brokers day to day procedures for the organization
ADD/CVD analysis
Denied Party Screening daily completion and oversight
ITC data integrity reviews and ERP updates of data
Periodic reporting
Assist in drafting and keeping up to date operational import procedures and standard work
Records retention to support trade compliance requirements
Continuous improvement activities
Assist in performing U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule, (HTS) determinations
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience in Trade Compliance
Preferred Qualifications
Established knowledge and interpretation of import regulations and operational requirements
Work with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate with team
Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and able to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Communication and organizational skills
Licensed Customs Broker, or equivalent certification preferred
Proficiency in CBP’s ACE System
Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, Teams, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
Proficiency in ERP systems (JDE & Oracle)
