Job Summary:

The Jr. Procurement Specialist will be responsible for performing administrative duties related to processing and entering requests for materials and supplies, as well as monitoring inventory. This role involves maintaining and updating the inventory database, identifying low stocks to prevent out of stock items, and conducting inventory counts. The Jr. Procurement Specialist will also assist the purchaser by entering necessary information in the ERP system.


The Jr. Procurement Specialist will be based out of our facility in Itasca, IL and is required to work onsite. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm and will require additional hours based on business need.



Essential Job Responsibilities:



  • Accurately enter data for purchase orders, material inventory updates, goods delivered, raw material quality, and current and future order scheduling.

  • Assist the purchaser by entering necessary information in the ERP system (JobBoss).

  • Process and schedule return shipments of materials/supplies to vendors and ensure returns are credited or refunded.

  • Schedule and communicate incoming shipments to relevant team members.

  • Process all internal procurement requests.

  • Provide real-time reports on inventory, costs, and purchases as requested by internal clients.

  • Conduct inventory counts several times a year to ensure accurate data in the inventory system.

  • Identify and track low stock items to prevent out of stock items.

  • Process adjustments and updates in JobBoss for respective projects.

  • Research and source vendors for raw goods, hardware, material and relevant services.




Job Requirements & Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Associate degree preferred.

  • Proficient with MS Office and computer-savvy, w/emphasis on Excel and Outlook.

  • Minimum of 1 year of inventory and/or purchasing experience strongly preferred.

  • Data entry experience required.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Work Environment:

This position will involve working both in an office environment and a warehouse environment.
