Junior Export Sales Manager  – Animal Nutrition
Location: Amsterdam/Oss
 
Job Description

ADM has an exciting opportunity available for a Sales Manager to drive our animal nutrition business in Europe. This is seen as key role not only to maintain, but more importantly to significantly grow our footprint by offering a broad depth of products ranging from Feed Additives & Ingredients to Premix. The role is expected to be based either in Amsterdam or Oss in the Netherlands and reports to the VP Sales Europe in Switzerland.

The main duties of this role will include:
  • Unlock and maximize the potential of our animal nutrition business 
  • Responsibility for our Animal Nutrition (technical) sales, including Key Accounts
  • Establish and develop long-term customer relationships
  • Identify and develop new business and partnership opportunities for growth
  • Understand our portfolio of products
  • Create and fulfill own sales plans and budget on the basis of market plans
  • Create and execute 3-5 year Business Plan for the region
  • Monthly reporting, sales analytics and insights; understand go-to-market strategy and how to maximize sales efficiency
  • Develop customer concepts in cooperation with product management, application and product development
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trend analysis, competitive activity and changing consumer behaviors through industry publications, events and insights reports to strategically grow the business
  • Support and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies for the region
  • Close interaction with other departments: technical support, customer service/logistics, product management, marketing and controlling

The successful candidate will possess the following:
  • Bachelors & Masters in Science in Agri, Agro Engineering, Veterinarian or Business educational background
  • Knowledge of animal nutrition and technical applications a pre
  • At least 10 years’ experience in the B2B feed or ingredients business
  • Business development spirit
  • Solid negotiation skills
  • Autonomy and organizational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a (virtual) team
  • Enthusiasm, initiative, and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong customer service orientation skills
  • Experience working in a matrix organization (cross-cultural mindset)
  • Flexible and willing to travel within the region
  • Excellent English language skills
