Job Description:


The successful candidate can efficiently and effectively manage workload to include competing priorities and deadlines, ensuring on-time completion of activities. The Lead, Global Trade Compliance will investigate reportable compliance incidents to determine if an action or series of actions resulted in a USG trade regulatory violation. Furthermore, for those incidents that resulted in a violation, the Lead, Trade Compliance, will draft a voluntary self disclosure summarizing the incident, the root cause, and the corrective action. This position reports to the Sr. Manager Global Trade Compliance who will provide guidance and oversight over the investigation and disclosure process.


 


 


Job Responsibilities:



  • Draft investigation plans and complete investigations to determine if a USG Trade regulation was violated

  • Draft and submit for review voluntary self-disclosures to U.S. Government regulators

  • Draft and submit for review internal close-out memos for those incidents that did not result in a violation

  • Recommend, implement, and test corrective actions resulting from compliance concerns

  • Review, coordinate and track voluntary self-disclosures and related corrective actions

  • Interface with internal and external customers in trade compliance matters

  • Assist with managing the corporate trade compliance program.

  • Provide support to assist with fulfilling the requirements of the Consent Agreement

  • Assist with data collection in preparation for internal assessments, audits, etc.

  • Track and follow-up on corrective actions related to CAVs, self-assessments, audits, etc.

  • 10% travel domestically


 


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Security Clearance

  • 5+ years conducting trade compliance investigation and reviewing voluntary disclosures


 


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Proficiency in OCR EASE export administration and licensing software

  • Experience working under a Consent Agreement

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface with personnel at all levels, both verbally and in writing

  • Exhibits a high attention to detail, integrity and discretion.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint

  • Demonstrated consistent application of company and industry business practices and concepts

  • Ability to apply U.S. Government regulatory requirements in complex scenarios

  • Specialized knowledge of multiple areas within U.S. Government regulations and business practices

  • Attention to detail and follow through on tasks assigned

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills


 


In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $86,000-$159,500. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $98,500-$182,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
