JOB SUMMARY 

Logistics is a front-line position in our organization and one that deals with our Drivers and Warehouse Staff. This role requires one to prioritize accordingly and works diligently to take care of delivery needs. This is a key position in our organization and one that requires extensive communication and collaboration with others to be successful.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain a driver base that covers the workload of the branch.
  • Ensure drivers are delivering the material to industry standards.
  • Assign all jobs scheduled for the day.
  • Work together with the Warehouse Manager to ensure proper delivery levels are maintained.
  • Oversee duties of delivery associates and address areas needing improvement.
  • Keep the trucks clean and orderly.
  • Maintain truck maintenance schedule with lease Company.
  • Communicate any issues regarding a job to the Installation Manager.
  • Complete daily reports reflecting shipping.
  • Promote a safe, injury/accident-free culture.
  • Conduct weekly safety meeting as directed from safety corporate management.
  • Determine daily workload through management of the schedule.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and ask for help as needed.
  • Keeping track of the productivity, accuracy, and timeline targets
  • Working in conformity with laws, regulations, and policies
  • Overseeing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods or materials
  • Resolving delivery inconsistencies or delay
  • Developing an environment that fosters open and positive team communication by setting expectations and communicating the company’s goals or objectives.
  • Taking care of inquiries or compliance issues related to shipping or transportation matters.
  • Ensuring that shipping documents are well kept, updated, and in compliance.
  • Set up job folders install packets.
  • Sets up and initiates all delivery tickets.
  • Schedules customer deliveries with Direction from Installation /Service Manager
  • Works with Installation/Service Manager for coordinating deliveries on time for installation and service appointments.
  • Reports all incidents to management immediately. 
  • Oversees warehouse manager inbound deliveries from Vendors and directs Warehouse Lead on incoming Trucks.
  • Managing the receiving and shipping paperwork in Cabinet Trac. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Ability to safely operate hand truck
  • Ability to read packing slips and bills of lading
  • Ability to interpret work orders, pull sheets, pick tickets
  • Ability to work with subcontractors, vendors, and other employees
  • Must excel at working in a team environment. Ability to read, comprehend and carry out simple instructions. 
  • Ability to write simple correspondence through letters or email
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute percent.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must excel at working in a team environment
