Job Summary

 

The Logistics Coordinator oversees the day-to-day execution of the company’s transportation needs. This position will be responsible for maintaining consistent communication with all company transportation/logistic providers across all modes, for both inbound and outbound shipments. The person in this role will also be responsible for maintaining policies and procedures for transportation operations and investigating/tracking shipment discrepancies related to O/S/D claims and assists in providing corrective action.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments, including international shipments

  • Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels

  • Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy

  • Making special shipping arrangements as necessary

  • Tracking and fixing shipping errors

  • Preparing bills and invoices

  • Managing distribution and shipment budgets

  • Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards

  • Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized to purchase orders


 

Qualifications

 


  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Proven experience as towing dispatcher or relevant position

  • Tech-savvy with knowledge of relevant methods

  • Fast typing with experience in data entry

  • Proficient in English (oral and written)

  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Active listener with excellent communication skills

  • Sound judgement and critical thinking.
