Job Summary The Logistics Coordinator oversees the day-to-day execution of the company’s transportation needs. This position will be responsible for maintaining consistent communication with all company transportation/logistic providers across all modes, for both inbound and outbound shipments. The person in this role will also be responsible for maintaining policies and procedures for transportation operations and investigating/tracking shipment discrepancies related to O/S/D claims and assists in providing corrective action. - Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments, including international shipments
- Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels
- Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
- Making special shipping arrangements as necessary
- Tracking and fixing shipping errors
- Preparing bills and invoices
- Managing distribution and shipment budgets
- Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
- Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized to purchase orders
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proven experience as towing dispatcher or relevant position
- Tech-savvy with knowledge of relevant methods
- Fast typing with experience in data entry
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
- Active listener with excellent communication skills
- Sound judgement and critical thinking.
