Hayward Holdings Inc. (NYSE "HAYW") is the largest manufacturer of residential swimming pool equipment

Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa

equipment including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow

control and energy solutions at our company owned facilities. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina,

Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France,

Australia, and China. This position is based in Clemmons, NC.









Responsibilities






  • Develop, implement, & maintain documented procedures ensuring compliance with Customs regulations and Hayward global
  • trade policy and procedures.
  • Work closely with Sourcing, Commodities, Legal, Finance, Security and Transportation to ensure compliance with all
  • applicable rules and regulations.
  • Operationalize Hayward global trade policy & procedures throughout.
  • Conduct risk assessments and take action to implement corrective actions when inconsistencies and non-compliant activities
  • are identified.
  • Implement and communicate procedures across business unites working cross-functionally to operationalize.
  • Manage valuation procedures in conjunction with finance, supply chain to include assists, related party pricing.
  • Serve as in-house SME on Customs Regulations and EAR Regulations.
  • Interpret regulations for specific company related situations and provide logical actionable guidance.
  • Utilize ACE data reporting to support projects, and compliance testing.
  • Manage duty drawback program.
  • Manage C-TPAT and mutual recognition programs globally.
  • Perform Global product classifications.
  • Lead Global implementation of any process changes needed to ensure business is fully compliant.
  • Serve as Hayward’s primary liaison with government agencies relative to import and export control.
  • Monitor customs broker activity for import and export.
  • Build partnerships with third-party customs brokerage firms, government agencies, trade compliance service providers on a global scale.
  • Responsible for tariff mitigation strategies.
  • Responsible for integration of acquisitions into the existing trade compliance program.
  • Manage Free Trade Agreements.








Qualifications






  • Must have strong knowledge of HTSUS, CFRs, PGA regulations, Customs bulletin, and directives.
  • Understanding of the import process from point of origin, shipping, customs transactions, entry and post entry processes and
  • procedures including, but not limited to, post summary corrections and protests.
  • Proven ability to develop and motivate direct reports.

Skills (Preferred)

  • Ability to create new and unique ideas to enhance existing trade compliance program.
  • Proficient using standard Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement; compare alternate actions and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to conduct meetings to accomplish tasks.
  • Critical and structured thinker with superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.

 

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in international relations, or other related studies
  • Customs Brokers license required.
  • 10+ years’ experience required with both customs house brokerage and importer experience or similar combination of
  • regulatory compliance fields.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a management role with combination of customs house brokerage and importer leading people,
  • projects and programs including, Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and C-TPAT Trade Compliance.
  • Experience implementing ongoing reporting metrics aligned to industry standards.
