Hyrbid Schedule: 3 days in office, 2 from home
Responsibilities:
- Manage direct shipment-level communication with carriers, vendors, and customers, addressing delays, inquiries, and discrepancies
- Act as a senior product expert in communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure client requests align with established services and oversee accurate invoicing
- Address file profitability, audit and identify low-margin files, and implement corrective actions with the team
- Monitor and ensure accuracy and timeliness of data entry for quality processing
- Actively seek feedback from team members and customers to identify opportunities for improvement in service levels, productivity, profitability, and quality
- Provide objective feedback on vendor performance, escalate issues promptly, and ensure optimal service levels
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with Ocean Import operations within a freight forwarding company
- 2+ years of Supervisory experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to train, coach, motivate, and develop/mentor direct reports
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate's Degree preferred
- Must currently reside in California and be willing and able to commute 3 days in office to the Carson/Torrance/Long Beach area
