Responsibilities:
- Understanding basic purchasing/trade: supplier selection, negotiation, delivery and payment
- Responsible for supporting the day-to-day indirect procurement for completeness, support documentation and clarify of description
- Local category sourcing, contract implementations, supplier management, management of vendor master data
- Provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications
- Assessing vendors and their offerings with in-person visits, interviews and analysis to assess their quality
- Negotiate, establish, monitor, and enforce supplier contracts and agreements in ways that benefit the company
- Manage and develop continues improvements programs, addressing quality, delivery and service as well as cost
- Authorizing payments and managing purchasing expenses with meticulous record-keeping
- Request quotations for comparison and price and terms and conditions negotiation with vendors
- Actively follow up with vendor for status of PO and estimated work completion
- Collaborate with Finance / Accounting for invoicing and payment processing
- Coordinate and compare service contract with purchase details to ensure accurate request, order or service are received accordingly
- Managing and collaborating with internal cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure procurement process and policy
- Follow and evaluate established procurement policies and procedures and Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in the procurement process
- Performs general and ad hoc project support for local partnership programs as required
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field or equivalent.
- 1-4 years of purchasing experience is preferred
- Strong communication skills to build strong relationships and credibility with all stakeholders (internal teams and suppliers)
- Proven ability to forge strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- SAP or ERP experience preferred, but not required
- Excellent reporting skill with MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Bilingual in English and Korean required
- Able to add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements
- Experience of working closely with suppliers
- Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown
Compensation:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $79,000 - $98,000. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related skills and experience. Your Recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
