Procurement Specialist (Entry Level)

We are currently expanding our purchasing department. The Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role working with the Purchasing Manager to ensure product availability for operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES (included but not limited to):
- Interface with vendors daily and ensure appropriate levels of inventory.
- Maintain accurate (exact) files with product specs, pricing, terms and conditions, manufacturer warranties, etc.
- Manage regular stock orders and apply usage history to minimize disruption during production
- Provide feedback and assist in managing Min-Max.
- Identifying ideal purchasing opportunities and making PO recommendations based on usage history
- Proactively communicating with other departments about product allocation, delivery inquiries, and backorders

- Demonstrate extreme attention to detail with strong work ethic.
- Sense of urgency with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- A good understanding of supply chain to ensure appropriate level of inventory

- Good relationship-building skills to interface with vendors.
- Focused self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments concurrently and deliver on commitments.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) Required
- Experience with MRP system is preferred (Not required)
