POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Successfully passes background check and preemployment drug screening.
- Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- Daily, predictable attendance.
- On call availability required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- High school diploma or G.E.D. AND 3-5 years of relevant supply chain experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, finance, accounting, business administration, or related field preferred AND 2-3 years of relevant supply chain experience
- CPM or APICS certification preferred.

- Ability to read, write, and comprehend written and oral English.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize based on demand of requirements or workload.
- Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possession of strong negotiation skills.
- Possession of excellent organization, consultative, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to gather, analyze and evaluate facts and to prepare concise oral and written reports and presentations.
- Ability to work with limited direction in a fast-paced environment. strong work ethic.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADVANCEMENT: (Promotions may occur only after the following qualifications have been satisfied. Promotions are not guaranteed and are subject to availability of position openings.)
- Time in position: Minimum 12 months
- Certification in APICS or CPM
- Demonstrated ability to prove a high aptitude in supplier management, contract negotiation, logistics or inventory management

The Procurement Specialist works indoors in an office setting, primarily sitting for extended periods of time at a desk station, keyboarding and using repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and or fingers. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus while reading and staring at computer monitor. The Procurement Specialist will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in person speech, telephone, or other remote speech. No adverse environmental conditions are expected. While in the office, the Procurement Specialist may be called upon to stand, kneel, push, pull, reach overhead, stoop, crouch, climb, and lift; therefore, Procurement Specialist should be able to lift 49 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs with a team lift.
Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on job demands.
