As a Procurement Specialist within the Ventev team, you will work directly with a highly dedicated product development team, engineering, supply chain, and sales professionals to deliver exceptional customer experience. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Ventev infrastructure supply planning and purchasing to meet customer demand through the management of inventory levels, service levels, and on-time order completion performance metrics.  This role requires a developed understanding of customer requirements, and collaboration with a wide variety of departments and individuals across Ventev, TESSCO, and external manufacturing supplier partners.  The successful candidate will offer a high level of analysis capability, solid leadership skills, problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering results and successful execution to meet the needs of our customers. Strong customer service focus, communication, sense of ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and results orientation are required skills to succeed in this position.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage supply planning and purchasing process to support new product launches, and current product demand through product end-of-life, market, and customer-forecasted requirements
  • Meet set goals for order completion, inventory turns, aged inventory, and service levels / Ensure that supply plans are aligned with targets
  • Lead CPFR reviews with Ventev Product Management team members to effectively manage inventory levels and mitigate excess from introduction throughout the product lifecycle
  • Collaborate on analysis of product offer rationalization recommendations to optimize cost and enable revenue/profit margin growth
  • Lead manufacturer Supply Chain Scorecard reviews to address areas of under-performance and leverage strengths to generate competitive advantage 
  • Analyze and interpret data/trends on the manufacturer's performance to develop and improve suppliers through root cause analysis and corrective action 
  • Assist in forecast accuracy analysis and adjustment, and safety stock level setting  to support future demand 
  • Resolve Purchase Order discrepancies by working with Finance and supplier partners, addressing root causes to mitigate discrepant purchase order data
  • Maintain accurate cost and lead times of materials in the system based on current supplier pricing/quotations and lead time performance
  • Negotiate with vendors to maintain win-win relationships
  • Optimize the Purchase order process and planning cycle to create efficiencies in the supply chain including PO consolidation and freight cost optimization 
  • Review practices, procedures, and processes, seeking ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness in product quality, delivery, and costs. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or other business-related fields
  • Experience in supply chain management (2+ years), specifically inventory management, planning, purchasing 
  • Knowledge of manufacturing bill of materials structure and configuration management
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, energetic atmosphere
  • Team-oriented, self-starter, innovative thinker
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving techniques
  • Advanced MS Excel and data analysis/reporting abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Supplier negotiation and performance management experience
  • SAP experience is highly preferred
  • Wireless industry experience a plus
