Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Position Purpose/Summary
The Procurement Specialist is committed to maintaining and monitoring inventory, identification, and distribution of raw materials, material returned from outside processing, and the release of material for further processing.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
1.Follow applicable statutory and regulatory requirements (i.e., encrypted documents, ITAR, etc.).
2.Assist in managing inventory levels, ensures availability of material during emergencies, and accuracy to support the organizations goals.
3.Request pricing and quotations (possibly negotiating) to vendors to fulfill required orders while maintaining vendor relationships.
4.Provides purchase orders (PO) to vendors (i.e., plating, heat treating, etc.) as well as for raw material.
5.Ensures the necessary requirements are communicated on purchase orders.
6.Coordinate receiving and warehousing procedures of raw materials.
7.Inspect / verify materials when received to ensure our PO requirements have been met; this includes proper documentation and traceability of received items.
8.Reviews incoming documents are per PO requirements.
9.Review MTR to customer requirements / industry specifications to ensure material is acceptable.
10.Files documentation accordingly.
11.Match traveler packet with raw materials and initiates into manufacturing process using the aerospace business unit sleeve.
12.Keeps records on procurement activity, materials quantity, material specifications.
13.Assist in forecasting to plan future orders.
14.Understands company goals and objectives.
15.Follow company quality policies and procedures.
16.Support and/or participate in the organization’s Continuous Improvement Program(s).
17.Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
At a minimum, the Procurement Specialist must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, along with 3+ years of inventory/material control/supply chain experience. Proven knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System, inventory control, material types and specifications.
