Job Summary:
Procures supply chain requirements for the Enterprise at greatest competitive value in accordance with prescribed purchasing policies and procedures.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  •  Coordinates all activities related to procurement of a particular commodity or service beginning with intent to purchase through delivery to end-user in accordance with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

  • Develops request for proposals, submits bid opportunities, analyzes quotations received, negotiates preferred pricing and contractual terms, selects or recommends suppliers, and schedules deliveries.

  •  Reviews and approves invoices for procurement transactions, and coordinates reconciliation of invoices and corporate credit card charges with Accounting.

  • Identifies and implements opportunities to reduce cost throughout the Enterprise supply chain by working closely with internal customers and the supply base.

  • Resolves supplier performance issues on a timely basis and conducts regular supplier review meetings with preferred supply base. Discusses quality, delivery and invoicing problems with suppliers and negotiates refunds when applicable.

  • Assist in the procuring of hardware, software and services.

  • Investigates and researches new products/services and suppliers in support of Enterprise procurement strategy, to ensure the best total value in cost, quality and delivery standards for the Enterprise.

  • Administers and coordinates activities related to the Third Party Risk Management program and supplier performance evaluations.

  • Develops contract and supplier evaluation reports as necessary.

Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.

Minimum Requirements:

Position requires a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field and three years' purchasing experience. Accredited Purchasing Practitioner or Certified Purchasing Manager certification preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.

Position requires knowledge of purchasing policies, procedures and best practices; experience developing cost/benefit analysis, and writing bid proposals with analytical evaluation capability; effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to resolve moderately complex problems and use independent judgment.
 
Ability and willingness to travel as required to meet business needs.
