As a Procurement Specialist on the Procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and executing tactical and medium level of complexity strategic commodity plans for the procurement function at Fluke. This individual will lead year over year cost reduction, on-time delivery, quality and working capital improvement initiatives with suppliers. The position allows for vast and varied cross functional exposure. 


 


Responsibilities: 



  • Advocate on behalf of supply chain function to ensure continuous support for company business objectives. 

  • Manage vendor relationships and drive year-over-year performance improvements with suppliers.

  • Analyze received quotations, select or recommend new suppliers. 

  • Rationalize supply base using Fluke FPQP process.

  • Manage supply base integration for new company acquisitions. 

  • Rationalize supplier base through the solicitation of competitive bids. 

  • Lead new and on-going supplier audit activities to ensure the supply base has robust process controls and capabilities to meet existing business requirements.

  • Conduct supply chain risk reviews. Manage production supplies transitions.

  • Maintain purchase orders and resolve invoice price discrepancies.

  • Ensure that required components are purchased to meet production schedule needs. Take corrective action as necessary.

  • Assist with contractual arrangements and stocking agreements.

  • Solicit supplier information related to Fluke and government agency compliance requirements.

  • Perform such similar, comparable or related duties as may be required.

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • 2+ years of work experience in supply chain.

  • Good organization, project management and follow-through skills

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and act in a proactive manner.

  • Microsoft office and Oracle experience preferred

  • Occasional travel to vendor locations is required
