Job Description

The Project and Construction Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement process, including the drafting, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of contracts with suppliers, vendors, and service providers. This role will encompass project management and construction procurement, ensuring that all procurement activities align with project timelines and construction requirements. The ideal candidate will ensure that all procurement and project management activities comply with company policies and procedures and support the organization’s strategic goals.

Qualifications –





  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, contract management, project management, or a related role.

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract law, negotiation techniques, and construction project management.

  • Experience in construction procurement, including sourcing materials and managing contractor relationships, is highly desirable.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in procurement software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.

  • Maintain and update a database of all procurement contracts and related documents.

  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues or disputes that arise.

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including identifying needs, sourcing suppliers, and obtaining quotes.

  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers.

  • Analyze and evaluate supplier bids to determine the best value for the company.

  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.

  • Track and report on procurement savings, budget adherence, and project timelines.

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.

  • Oversee construction procurement activities, ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively.

  • Travel to project sites to ensure that project timelines are met and that supplies meet quality and quantity standards.

  • Collaborate with construction teams to align procurement activities with project goals and timelines.

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement contracts.

  • Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in procurement, project management, and contract management.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, operations, and construction teams, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with organizational goals.

  • Provide training and guidance to staff on procurement policies, procedures, and project management practices.
