Job Summary
The Project Leader is responsible for creating project plans and delivering the project/program results on time, within budget and scope to the desired specifications. Monitors the status of each project to ensure appropriate actions are taken at the right time to achieve results that yield the appropriate benefits to the Fresenius Kabi Trade and Compliance program, while adequately disseminating information to project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
1) Focuses on projects of small complexity and short-term time frames typically 1 year or less related to Trade and Compliance. This may involve utilizing the regulations of several US Agencies such as, Customs, FDA (Food & Drug Admin), USDA, (US Department of Agricultural EPA, Environmental Protection Agency.) etc.
2) Establishes project stakeholders, requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
3) Leads project(s) from initiation through closeout including phases such as planning, implementation, monitor and control and disseminating results.
4) Monitor’s budget and project progress. Ensures that timelines are met.
5) Efficiently manages both internal and external resources (staff, equipment, vendors, and consultants) to achieve business solutions within project guidelines. Driving team to success by helping to set objectives, defining priorities, and keeping team members focused and accountable for project scope and timeline.
6) Prepares and presents progress reports for senior management.
7) Responsible for running all ACE, (US Automated Commercial Environment) Portal reports as required.
8) Creates SOPs, (Standard Operating Procedures).
9) Initiates and maintains reporting relationships with project stakeholders including team members, senior management, customers, vendors, and other affected departments to coordinate efforts across multiple business functions as well as technical groups, and ensure continuous, efficient management of projects.
10) Assists in identifying and resolving Customs and Trade issues, and other influences that may impact project, department, or corporate goals. Recognize potential threats to project success and elevate issues to senior management. Assists in the development and implementation of contingency plans.
11) Continues to develop Project Management technical skills by way of training, seminars, and certifications.
12) All other duties as assigned.
13) All employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to Global Compliance SOPs, company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain, or related field required.
3 -5 years’ experience in Customs and Trade
Must be familiar with the Customs ACE, Portal, and running reports
Robust knowledge of Customs regulations.
Experience in a cGMP environment strongly preferred.
Previous project management experience a plus.
Willingness to travel 10-15%
Demonstrated effective oral and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, excellent problem solving and organization skills. Supervisory experience a plus.
Proficiency in standard business applications is required, e.g. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project.
