Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $110k - $125k. In addition to a competitive market-based salary, Sciton provides an opportunity to participate in equity/stock incentive programs, a profit-sharing bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) with matching.



Job Summary

Sciton is rapidly growing and seeking a Senior Accountant to support our expanding international operations. This role ensures that financial close and reporting processes for international entities comply with US GAAP for consolidation and local GAAP for statutory filings. The Senior Accountant will oversee the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial records for multiple entities, partnering with internal teams and external auditors. They will also play a key role in setting up and maintaining new legal entities and business processes.



In this role, you engage in the following:


  • Manage the international accounting entity close process including consolidation

  • Review all monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis for all international entities

  • Reconcile intercompany balances and settlements are paid accurately

  • Prepare, maintain and reconcile monthly foreign exchange transactions and related gains/losses

  • Review statutory financial reports and accounts, and work with local entities to bridge statutory financial and tax books to U.S. GAAP

  • Oversee international AP, expense reimbursement and payroll activities

  • Oversee the international commission plan for Sales Representatives, Consultants and Distributor Partners

  • Work with external service providers to meet international regulatory and tax compliance needs including VAT/GST and maintaining proper supporting documentation for local country tax refunds/credits

  • Partner with external tax service providers in reviewing and booking transfer pricing journal entries

  • Work with our international sales leadership team to evaluate legal, financial and compliance requirements to establish entities in expansion countries

  • Collaborate with the payroll team and lead the administration and management of sales compensation plans globally

  • Prepare and ensure accurate calculation of the monthly and quarterly commissions payout

  • Distribute and track completeness of compensation plan sign-off from sales personnel to ensure compliance with company policies

  • Point of contact for all commissions related questions and provide thorough and timely answers to the sales and sales management teams and maintain regular customer service

  • Oversee a critical process for accounting, this role will report to the Associate Director of Accounting and interact heavily with the VP of International Sales as well as the broader Finance team.


Essential Requirements:


  • 7+ years accounting experience with min of 3 Years of work in a multi-country/currency environment

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related field of study; CPA preferred

  • Strong understanding of US and GAAP accounting principles and procedures as you will review entries related to consolidations.

  • Experience managing different accounting software products displaying an ability to leverage systems.

  • Experience with Captivate IQ and Syteline a plus.

  • Experience and a desire to work in a dynamic and face-paced environment that demands creativity and flexibility

  • Excellent analytical skills as well as a strong business acumen

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Excellent MS Excel skills

  • Previous experience managing people preferred
