Job Summary
 

The Senior Director, Global Marketing is responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation, effectively attracting and engaging target audiences to further increase awareness of Chicago Booth as an elite global business school. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of domestic and global markets, strategic thinking, and a track record of leading successful marketing campaigns across multiple regions. The role will work closely with internal and external partners to ensure strategies are effectively developed and implemented across programs and reflect the enterprise's goals and our diverse suite of academic programs and offerings. The Senior Global Marketing Director will lead a digital social, search, email, and public relations team, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develops comprehensive, impactful advertisement strategy, encompassing lead generation, engagement, and conversion to support the admissions cycle and drive qualified leads to Chicago Booth.
  • Leads and guides cross-functional teams in planning, conceptualizing, and executing unified, multi-channel marketing campaigns for Chicago Booth.
  • Oversight of all integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring creative deliverables are met and aligned with overall campaign objectives.
  • Leads annual planning meetings.
  • Collaborates with and manages various contracted external agencies to create marketing and media plans and develop innovative and creative design campaigns.
  • Develops, implements, and reports out on KPIs for key marketing initiatives.
  • Manages the marketing advertisement budget under an always-on model, ensuring efficient allocation and ROI evaluation.
  • Leverages analytics to measure marketing effectiveness, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Provides recommendations and insights to senior leadership on improvements to marketing processes that will drive scalability, ROI, and efficiency into key areas for continuous enhancements.
  • Stasy ahead of industry trends and maintains a keen awareness of the competitive landscape.
  • Plans, develops, designs and implements the strategic marketing plans for a department or program. Directs, monitors and evaluates marketing communication and research programs.
  • Provides leadership and supervision to staff, usually other senior managers and/or managers, including selection and development of staff.
  • Performs other related work as needed.


Minimum Qualifications
 

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or other related course of study. 

Experience:

  • Minimum ten years of digital marketing or related experience., with increased responsibility.  
  • Creating, implementing and measuring a comprehensive digital strategy in the non-profit/higher educational space.
  • Managing an annual marketing budget.  
  • Background in market research and competitive analysis.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of HubSpot, Google Ads, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Adobe Analytics, Marketo, Tableau, Slate and more.
  • Expertise in digital marketing channels and tools.
  • Expertise in crafting and executing comprehensive integrated marketing and communication strategy, implementing MarTech, and leveraging data-driven analytics to enhance ROI and drive operational efficiency.

  • Multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills, a high degree of organization and professionalism. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Working Conditions
