The Global SIOP Leader will manage the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective demand and supply planning, inventory management, and overall operational efficiency on a global scale.


Responsibilities


1. SIOP Process Management:



  • Develop,execute and lead a comprehensive global SIOP strategy to align sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production plans with the company's financial goals and customer requirements.

  • Develop and maintain SIOP calendars, meeting schedules, and process documentation.

  • Facilitate monthly SIOP meetings with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain) to review and analyze demand and supply data, identify gaps or issues, and develop action plans to address them.


2. Demand Planning and Forecasting:



  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to gather and analyze demand forecast

  • Develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, customer insights and sales input.

  • Adjust forecasts based on changes in market conditions, promotions, and product lifecycle.


3. Inventory Management:



  • Drive the implementation of effective inventory management practices, including demand forecasting accuracy, safety stock optimization, and order fulfillment strategies.

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.

  • Develop strategies to improve inventory turnover and reduce holding costs.


4. Production Planning and Scheduling:



  • Coordinate with Operations and Manufacturing to develop production plans that meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.

  • Ensure production schedules are aligned with forecasted demand and inventory targets.

  • Address production constraints and capacity issues to maintain delivery performance.


5. Performance Metrics and Reporting:



  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to SIOP, such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, stockouts, service level, and lead times.

  • Prepare and present SIOP reports and dashboards to senior management.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives based on performance data.


6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:



  • Serve as the main point of contact for SIOP-related activities, communication, training and guidance on SIOP principles, tools, and methodologies, and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions.

  • Foster collaboration between Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure consistency and standardization of SIOP processes, tools, and best practices.

  • Facilitate conflict resolution and ensure alignment on SIOP objectives.


7. Continuous Improvement:



  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve SIOP processes and tools to enhance data visibility and accuracy.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in SIOP and supply chain management.

  • Implement new technologies and systems to support SIOP effectiveness and efficiency.


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, inventory management, or related roles.

  • Proven experience leading SIOP processes in a complex, multi-site global environment with advanced knowledge of SIOP processes, principles, and best practices.

  • Strong proficiency in relevant data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, S&OP software).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to generate insights from data and propose effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
