This role is based in either San Diego, CA or San Jose, CA.


 


Job Summary


The Senior Director, Global Sales Management will be responsible for managing the global sales organization, driving our distribution channel, and meeting revenue targets. Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Sales, this role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, exceptional sales acumen, and a proven track record in developing and managing high-performing sales teams across multiple regions.


 


Roles & Responsibilities


This position has responsibility for:



  • Sales Strategy and Execution:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive global sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share objectives.

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments.

    • Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.



  • Distribution Management:

    • Oversee the management of global distribution channels to ensure proper terms, coverage and effective product availability.

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, representatives, partners, and customers.

    • Monitor and analyze distributor performance, providing guidance and support to optimize their effectiveness.



  • Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

    • Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback and coaching to team members.

    • Identify training and development needs and implement programs to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.



  • Customer and Competitive Analysis:

    • Conduct customer research to enable proper coverage of our strategic global customers.

    • Use insights to adjust sales strategies and product offerings to maintain a competitive edge.



  • Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction.

    • Support our global account managers at strategic accounts and negotiate contracts and agreements.



  • Sales Operations and Reporting:

    • Support sales and operations planning, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.

    • Implement and utilize CRM systems and tools to track sales activities, pipeline, and performance metrics.

    • Provide regular reports and updates to executive leadership on sales performance and market conditions.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)



  • 10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles within the semiconductor industry.

  • Proven track record of managing and developing global sales teams and achieving revenue targets.

  • Strong understanding of semiconductor products, technologies, and market dynamics.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.


Education Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Must be able to travel by plane, car, train or other modes of transportation, which may require sitting for long periods of time.    This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift luggage up to 50 pounds.
