Job Summary:

The Senior Procurement Specialist will be responsible for leading the procurement efforts of the company, focusing on strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and cost management. The individual will play a key role in developing and executing procurement strategies to optimize technology investments and ensure the continuous flow of goods and services necessary for our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective acquisition of IT hardware, software, and services.
  • Lead the negotiation process with suppliers to secure competitive prices and favorable terms.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors, conducting regular reviews to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to understand their procurement needs and specifications.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Oversee the procurement process from requisition to receipt, including order placement, tracking, and verification of delivery and invoice accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
  • Develop and maintain a supplier management program that evaluates performance, risk, and procurement efficiencies.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and negotiate contracts that optimize expenditure.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, savings, and challenges to senior management.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, specifically in an IT or technology-focused environment.
  • Strong understanding of IT products and services, including software licensing, hardware procurement, and cloud services.
  • Proven track record of negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in procurement software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • This role may require occasional travel to meet with suppliers or attend industry events.
