Job Description


Position Summary:


As a Sourcing & Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for guiding the planning and procurement of commodities and/or services that have financial impact to the company, while ensuring the best leverage of company dollars.  In this role, you will use your knowledge of demand planning techniques, sourcing, and procurement of services and goods while using strong tactical and negotiation skills. 


The ideal candidate will have previous Supply Chain experience as well as the ability to interact with all levels of employees, management, external and internal customers.  Strong organizational and planning skills are needed in order to maintain accurate and detailed records, prioritize work, multitask and enforce personal deadlines, while maintaining flexibility to reassess and prioritize goals.


Overall Responsibilities:



  • Demand planning, sourcing and procurement.  Participate in procurement, operations, and client meetings.

  • Performs SPR (Supplier Performance Reviews) with suppliers to measure and report performance levels and to identify root cause and establish corrective action plans if problems arise

  • Manage Suppliers to ensure they continually meet or exceed optimum levels of quality, technology, service and cost

  • Utilizes RFI (Request for Information) and RFQ (Request for Quote) techniques to identify, select and engage with suppliers to ensure high quality, on-time delivery and cost competitiveness

  • Requires knowledge of market supply base in assigned commodities, ensuring sourcing decision is made per corporate policy, including Arvato ethics policy, and is in the interest of the company to include full supply chain management

  • Review proposals, negotiates prices, follows up on orders, verifies delivery, researches payment, and maintains necessary records in accordance with corporate finance and procurement policies


Daily Tasks:



  • Place purchase orders and monitor open order report-provide exception reports

  • Prepare and maintain status reports and modify schedules or plans

  • Resolve invoice issues via AP workflow in a timely manner

  • Report issues regarding vendor product quality, dependability and services issues

  • Handle expedited requests and monitor to insure materials are delivered on schedule and are not below minimum safety stock

  • Oversee customer accounts to ensure service level agreements are met and correspond with customers to ensure timely responses to their inquires

  • Work closely with Operations to ensure program requirements are met on a daily basis

  • Reviewing payment remittance files

  • Complete monthly billing invoices and submit for payment


Minimum Qualifications:



  • A minimum of 3 years in a procurement, sourcing or buyer role

  • At least 1 year of SAP MRP/ERP experience

  • At least 1 year of computer experience using MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
