Job Tittle: Sr. Analyst, Trade Compliance


Primary Purpose: The purpose of this position is to support Coachtopia within Global Trade Services and Sustainability ensuring the company’s processes, internal controls and reporting are compliant with customs and trade laws. This position will provide support on country-of-origin marking, product valuation, tariff classification, duties paid, etc. and continuously assess potential compliance risks and opportunities. To support Coachtopia’s ethos around circularity and sustainability, this role, in partnership with other teams, will ensure the company is compliant with global sustainability regulations and certifications. 


The successful candidate will leverage their proficiency in trade & customs compliance to…



  • All category classification and duty advisement, which can include product, visual merchandise, raw materials, and more. This includes ensuring classification system requirements are properly met from other teams such as product development.

  • Advising on country-of-origin marking, product valuation, assists, FTA advisement and validation, import restrictions, regulations, and other global trade and customs related matters.

  • Building relationships and connecting regularly with other teams regularly such as legal, ESG, product compliance, product development, logistics and more.

  • Advising on sample and product shipments to ensuring proper compliance processes and regulations are adhered to.  

  • Working with the (Re)Loved team to ensure compliance with takeback and pop-up programs. The contribution to the (Re)Loved program will include, but is not limited to, classification, product labeling and testing advisement, customs documents validation and general compliance callouts.

  • Responsible for kicking off the sustainability claim substantiation process in partnership with marketing.  This ensures we have all product information and proper certification to make sustainability related claims and be compliant with all regulations.

  • Working in partnership with product development and materials partner to obtain suppliers certification for sustainable materials. This will include certificate validation, feedback, record keeping and tracking.

  • Working in partnership the Tapestry Green Trade Compliance Manager on Coachtopia sustainability material development projects to advise on classification, testing requirements, process implementation and more.

  • Ensuring Coachtopia is following compliance processes when utilizing scrap and liability materials.


An accomplished individual will have…



  • 2-3 years of experience, with extensive knowledge of customs and trade rules.

  • Understanding of software trade management solutions such as ACE, Integration Point, Customs Info, etc.

  • B.A. or B.S. in trade, supply chain, logistics or related field preferred.

  • A background in sustainability is preferred but not required.

  • Flexible, adaptable, collaborative in a fast-changing environment.

  • Strong analytical and good decision-making skills.

  • Ability to search, interpret and apply complex government regulations in actionable activities as appropriate.

  • Must be able to efficiently communicate complex customs, trade and sustainability requirements and issues to non-expert audience internally and externally.

  • Have a “yes, and” attitude when advising on compliance matters. This ensures that we are supporting sustainability innovation with a “yes” attitude but also leaving an “and” to advise on the regulations and requirements we must comply with.

  • MS office proficiency, with strong excel skills.
