Job Description



The Sr. Procurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of essential materials and equipment to support business operations. This includes evaluating and selecting suppliers to secure the best value, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring cost-effectiveness. The role also involves maintaining high standards of quality and overseeing on-time delivery to ensure smooth and efficient operations across the organization.


Main Responsibilities

· Conduct price comparisons across multiple vendors to make informed, cost-effective purchasing decisions. 

· Manage purchasing within budgetary constraints, ensuring good and services are procured. 

· Ensure timely delivery of products and verify that received goods meet quality standards. 

· Negotiate terms with contractors on price, shipping methods, and delivery timelines to secure the best possible deals.  

· Maintain inventory levels by ordering office supplies and other goods on a regular basis to maintain certain inventory levels. 

· Review and verify invoices for accuracy, authorizing the accounts payable department to process payments.

· Evaluate the vendor performance regularly to assess whether to continue or adjust supplier relationships. 

· Track inventory levels to determine which items need to be reordered or replenished. 

· Enter inventory and order data accurately into the ERP system to maintain up-to-date records concerning inventory and order amounts into a computer database.


Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management. 

· Possesses strong negotiation skills and effective verbal and written communication abilities to engage with vendors and internal stakeholders. 

· Highly detail-oriented and proactive in managing contracts, following up on deliverables, and tracking backordered items to ensure timely resolution. 

· Technically proficient with the ability to navigate ERP systems to streamline procurement processes and track inventory.

Salary Description

$75,000 - $90,000
